| Essendon United FC strives to nurture and sustain a community based initiative centered on sport, competition and family oriented activity. With our foundation members consisting of a group of individuals experienced and entrenched in the football community of Melbourne, we are confident of providing a professionally established and managed club which will benefit our wider community and our commercial partners. Essendon United FC is a new club established by a group of experienced soccer enthusiasts who have participated as players and administrators at all levels including the now defunct NSL and in the Victorian State Leagues. We will strive to provide an environment which will be relevant to all age groups and demographics both as participants and spectators. In 2011 Essendon United will be competing in the Men's Provisional League 1. A league we know all too well after being promoted from there in 2009. We are hopeful of achieving that same goal this season.
